MBCP®: Susbtitut osseux de phosphate de calcium bioactif

Idéalement, tout matériau synthétique biocompatible utilisé pour remplacer ou augmenter un matériau de greffe doit s’intégrer avec le tissu osseux environnant et finalement être remplacé par de l’os nouveau sain, comme on le voit avec une greffe autologue7.
MBCP® est un phosphate de calcium biphasé avec une structure unique micro et macroporeuse qui ressemble étroitement à l’architecture de l’os humain naturel4. Soluble et résorbable1,2,5,6,16,17,18,21, il se dissout progressivement dans l’organisme, en favorisant la formation de l’os à travers la libération d’ions de calcium et de phosphate. Dans le temps, la structure poreuse est complètement infiltrée et remplacée par un os sain et viable2,4,8,11.

Les macropores sont un réseau d’espaces interconnectés qui favorisent l’infiltration biologique et la colonisation cellulaire par les ostéoblastes et les ostéoclastes, au coeur du matériau.
Orthopédie et maxillo-facial:
Il est destiné à être utilisé en tant que greffe osseuse pour remplir ou reconstruire des défauts osseux ou des lacunes du système squelettique (par exemple, extrémités, colonne vertébrale et bassin, dentaire) qui ne sont pas intrinsèques à la stabilité de la structure osseuse. Les défauts osseux peuvent survenir à la suite d’un traumatisme ou de défauts créés chirurgicalement.
Il peut être utilisé pour augmenter un volume d’autogreffe.
